Why is this important?
I decided to do this topic because i believe that it is a very important issue in the 21st century, and because many people believe that there are human rights everywhere now that both women and coloured people have “equal” rights but LGBT people are clearly discriminated against. Also with the news of New York allowing Gay marriage made me wonder, what are Australia and other countries doing about this?
In different countries LGBT right are different like in Canada they allow; Same-sex sexual activity, Anti-discrimination laws in employment, provision of goods and services, Same-sex marriage(s) nationwide, adoption, sex change and LGBT people able to serve in the military. On the other hand Sudan has a death penalty if someone is found to be Gay or Bisexual.
